Looks like we’ll start a little later than we thought this morning. Get that last minute shower in now! Just a reminder that this only impacts the upper parts of Whitewater Springs. I’ll let everyone know once work is complete.
Hi all, sorry for the late notice, but we need to do a repair to the valve on the bottom of the pressure tank. This repair will be done from approximately 9 am to 11 am tomorrow morning (August 22). The upper portions of Whitewater Springs will lose pressure during this time. Lower portions should … Read more
The new water meter is installed and we are gradually building up pressure to the upper loop. You will notice very low pressure right now that will begin to slowly build back to normal. Do your last minute things using water now. Probably too late to take a shower. You don’t want to be stuck with shampoo in your hair! I’ll let you know if we are staying on schedule as things progress.
Hello everyone. As mentioned last week we will have a 2 to 3 hour outage for residents in the upper portions of Whitewater springs. I’ll follow up when it is starting – best estimate is 10 am – and when it is complete. Thank you for your patience!
We are planning to install the final new meter at the main water plant on Whitewater Drive during the day Wednesday. This meter will be to replace the meter on the pressure side of the water system. We are noticing a large uptick in water usage. I’m concerned that someone may have a leak they are not aware of. Please take a few minutes to see if you have any leaks outside your house. If you know your neighbor is out of town you may want to check on their house. This … Read more
Many of you have likely seen the notice that the Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District (CTGCD) met today to discuss potential groundwater restrictions due to the ongoing drought. I attended the meeting on behalf of the WSWSC to ensure that our interests were represented. A little background is important to understand the action the district … Read more

Our leak has been repaired. This was a difficult one to find and repair. The water main developed a leak that was spraying water at high pressure downward against an electrical conduit underground. Over time the water eroded the conduit and finally put a hole in it. This caused water to flow down the conduit … Read more
Well, it seemed we were out of the woods with summer winding down a little and the elimination of all measurable leaks from the water system, but we’ve developed a new leak. We know where it is, but it’s going to take a crew from PGMS to repair it. First thing tomorrow they should be … Read more
What is the best use of our water? It’s a difficult question to answer, and most of us would answer differently. Last Wednesday, the WSWSC board voted to allow swimming pools to be filled from the water system rather than requiring owners to truck water in. Safeguards were put in place to ensure the water … Read more
Our tank is full, and we are back to normal operations. Hopefully this will be our only incident like this for the rest of the summer. A few cleanup items: – This is a good reminder that if you see any water issues please call PGMs. Posting on FaceBook or NextDoor really just adds another … Read more
Quick update on our progress. Our tank was at 8′ 10″ around 10:00 this morning. That is approximately 55% full. We are on track to be full by Thursday. Thank you for your patience! Gregg Thompson WSWSC
We’ve made some progress filling our 100,000 gallon tank, but it is slow going this time of year. The tank was as low as 3 feet when the leak was finally repaired. We’ve now climbed to 6 feet 3 inches. Each foot represents about 6,500 gallons of water so we’ve added about 21,000 gallons to … Read more
